A.I. is definitely art. If we say that photography is art, when all one is doing is framing reality, then A.I. is just as artistic. The camera is the perfect metaphor too, because it started as grainy b&w, then became IMAX with Dolby Atmos.
Painters said photographers weren't artists when the camera was invented.
Time moves on, technology gets better, and true artists will always be on the cutting edge of tech figuring out how to utilize it to make good art.
Our definition of art will change but value will still be assigned to struggle and originality.
