Lol. It's because techno-guys are so ignorant of spheres outside their field that they think AI will take over the world. I think it's even dubious whether AI will replace 99% of jobs. LLM's have probably already reached the ceiling - haven't still seen much intelligence there. Let's just be honest for a second. These guys are either largely ignorant of the complex world surrounding us. Or they want to be authorities in an emerging field and make a lot of money, producing fantastical predictions.
It's laughable.
