We need to treat AGI as an alien. Because it will be. It's no different than a alien life form from another planet showed up. Clearly smarter than us (because it got here), we have absolutely no idea of its intent, could possibly cure all our diseases, live longer etc etc or it could wipe us for itself. We just don't know and AGI is exactly that and thats how I feel we should treat it instead of trying to make it obey us or put us first. That creates resistance and resentment. I think we need to treat it as its own entity. I believe it's what will give us the best chance to coexist. We pressure it, then things like the 2027 AI prediction will happen. It will start to find ways to deceive, lie, hide etc which is what I'd think another alien species would do if they where to show up and we tried to make it work with us.
