The thing is, if the people who uses AI actually wants to do art so badly, they would have tried to learn how to draw. But they don't because they don't actually respect art or artists in any form and don't really want to do art. It's also why nft bros will grab any reskinned basic shooter game that come packaged with the game creation tool, replace the assets with bought stock models that are attached to unnecessarily expensive links to photos then call it the pinnacle of gaming, they really don't care for the game and are really in for the earn part of play to earn. They just don't care, so why should I? On a completely unrelated note, I found that a lot of the discord of this comment section doesn't actually come from the clashing of two sides, but by how both of them perceive certain words way differently. Let me get this clear now, liking AI or not is an opinion, I'm sure you all know that. Sooooo, neither side are going to get anywhere if everyone is so aggressive or even passive aggressive about it all the time because most people find it annoying. ESPECIALLY IF EVERYONE ARE TALKING ABOUT COMPLETELY UNRELATED CONCEPTS. Originality, what is it? A coder of an AI would tell you their code is original and they would be right, writing they own codes within the rules of the system is original. To an artist however, originality can range from drawing hair onto twitter oc sheets to the entirety of Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, these works all contain originality the word, but are obviously different things. It's these disconnects in information that really means that neither side are getting their points across. Idk y'all are free to ignore this I'm just some highschooler typing at 1am in my region. If anything in this comment seems off to you, remember, I'm a stupid 17 year old that has math homework to finish.
