One thing I never hear brought up about the limitations of AI is that it can not solve *new* problems. AI is trained on historical data, code that has already been written. So if a new tool comes out that requires a novel interaction, even a super simple one like "arrays start at 1 instead of 0 now" the AI literally can not understand that. A human brain can easily adapt to such a simple change but an AI fundamentally can not; it will keep generating code the old way because it doesn't understand that anything has changed because it hasn't been trained on the new way yet.
