So many people are just misunderstanding how "AI" (large language models) work, assigning it theory of mind when it's actually just fitting words into a sentence trying to approximate what the answer to the question you asked would look like. That's it. It's not doing anything, it doesn't know anything or have any intentions. It can't lie, and it can't tell the truth, because it doesn't exist as a self, doesn't have awareness and doesn't want anything. It's an algorithm.
