No. Your definition of AI is science fiction. AI is a very broad term that covers quite a few things that laypersons wouldn't consider to be AI. Linear regression, for example, or decision trees. It's also far less powerful that you think. Neural Networks, for example, are equivalent in terms of computational power to lookup tables. They're not even Turing complete.
