I could see his argument being used for digital art created from Procreate, Photoshop, Clip Studio, Paint Tool SAI, etc .. but certainly not *AI ART* lmaoo. I'm mostly a digital artist myself and when I show people my work I slightly recoil internally when I tell them "I drew that." 😅 Bc I did - but digitally. So it feels less authentic to me than traditional work but it's still very much art. You have to be familiar with the software to even use it and most of them aren't incredibly user friendly, other than Procreate. Not to mention the skill required to actually create something. Just owning the newest version of Photoshop doesn't put you toe-to-toe with seasoned artists who have spent years honing their craft, creating a sense of style and pushing those boundaries.
