I kinda have the same experience but with my parents, they tell me that me doing 3D art is useless cause "I'll be replaced by AI anyways and nobody wants this stuff anymore" which is a laughable statement, they really don't understand why i create things by myself, there's zero fun to be had typing text into a prompt, that's not a hobby nor art, it's just slop, though my parents really got sucked into this whole AI thing and get defensive everytime i tryna explain to them why they're wrong about their perspective on me doing real art, but i do not care much about what they tell me regarding what i do, i just don't give much of a f**k honestly, atleast i can actually make what i want the way i want, not prompting a machine 300 times hoping it'll get it right.
