I am a big proponent of automating menial work such as manufacturing, cleaning, trucking, etc. BUT for every job that's automated the owner of that business should be paying extra taxes that the government pays out to unemployed people and is essentially the equivalent to a decent wage.
If that doesn't happen the world will burn itself down as no one will be able to afford anything and no corporation will be able to sell anything
