The previous tech revolutions automated labor and communication to be more efficient. The end goal of a true AI is to emulate and automate thinking itself. We aren’t at this point, but it’s coming faster and it’ll hit hard. Yes, there will still be jobs. However, why would a CEO hire a staff of 200 to run a company when he could hire a time of 10-20 overseeing employees with AI automating the rest? Companies by design are interested in making profit, not in human ethics unless they’re forced to under the law. If they can find cost effective ways to eliminate you while not sacrificing efficiency, they will do it.
