Most of Wall Street doesn’t see the snake eating its tail. Do they really think that it will end with just the employees. That could be a scenario in which it could work it’s way to the top of the company, including the CEO in the Board of Directors. Just because they own something doesn’t mean sooner or later a Superintelligence would find any kind of Owner redundant or unnecessary. There could be a time where AIS went owned competing companies, and since they have no human element driving interest that would align with humans that might be in the way of a truly cold calculating an objective way of doing business and we compete with other AI’s but still have humans as part of the ownership. The AI ownership itself could become so cheap so profitable and move so quick that any minute difference would spelled doom for any human beings. Also, as super intelligence will continue to grow more and more powerful it would go beyond the realms of just finance. It would make its way into politics, culture, etc. companies also don’t see the fact that just because they’re good at something or they make a product that that’s the reason why they’re in business. Some companies get subsidized by the government, cultural shifts that happen randomly that could destroy a business overnight, some businesses might be purely philanthropy, where there’s no stated goal of profit, but might compete with other businesses also, again as concentrate power becomes put in the fewer and fewer hands those people that lose their money and power will become bitter and will want to change the system.
