Jumping on the AI is gonna kill us all bandwagon? I suppose that is legit if you want to make some money. Let's just lump a gigantic group of diverse technologies big and small under the same umbrella and exploit the ignorance and lack of knowledge of the viewers. Of course scare sensationalizing can grab attention. Anything proven or backed up besides anecdotal things and a whole bunch of sensationalizing? The people who grab onto this idea and love it so they can fantasize about their AI apocalypse are the same folks that called COVID a hoax, believe in all things magical, have seen ghosts, and actually tend to have very little education in science. Spoiler alert, we won't trust AI entirely just like we don't just close our eyes the entire time we are driving a car. We also tend to not leave that what is most valuable to us to sheer chance and blind faith. In other words, who would be dumb enough to both utilize AI and not have a fail safe or not monitor it? Most people's science education is limited to Hollywood movies. That's why you are sucky at predictions and get it wrong all the damned time.
