I'm a software dev and I'm still puzzled by the claims that AI is outright replacing junior devs.
Sure, it has increases my productivity and thus the demand for devs might have decreased.
But replacing implies it can do 100% of a junior's job and it's not even close.
People are quick to blame AI for layoffs, but fail to consider the end of zero interest rate policies and Covid era overhiring.
