Its anecdotal but ive seen several krogers trying to use computer vision in those stupid cameras at self checkout. I swear im either stupid (possible) or they just havent updated the parameters because over the past year these things continue to insist I was checking out "wrong" and generally the clerks have the same view of "nah these do this no matter what it wasn't your fault". It isnt going to be an llm (i hope cause thats even more stupid) behind this but i am astounded at how jank some of these implementations of various AI softwares have been.
