Less likely that it'll "turn against us" -- implying that there'll be a benevolent AI that'll suddenly turns evil -- but more likely some nefarious actor will design and deploy a malevolent AI. It'll likely be a military of some kind, but entirely possible for a basement dweller with a botnet or server farm
