i don't understand what's the issue with ai generators. there's two sides to art: artist and consumer/viewer, artists will do art for themselves because they want to do art and express their artistic something and consumers/viewers just like to look at pretty images. I don't see how ai affect any of them negatively, if it's a slop then people won't like to look at it, if it's good they won't care. if ai images are bad then it doesn't affect artist, if they are good then, well, it affects those who sell things and make products, but even they would just use ai if it was good, while artists will produce art no matter what and those who can understand and appreciate it will consume it.
I'm from normie category so maybe I don't understand, but I always thought art is a personal thing you do for yourself in the first place and then there are those who look at black square and can understand it. While everyone else just look at pretty image and get neurons stimulation for a sec
