An AI as successful as marketed only removes labor scarcity, not resource scarcity. Economic relevance is the last bit of leverage the general populace still has on our ever more monopolistic corporations and ever more authoritarian states. When that's gone, there's no incentive left for any of them to do anything for the 'eaters'.
