It is still unethical because even when indicating which artist the ai generated image copied the style from, most of these artists dont give permission to use their art and so a lot of ai users steals the art to use it as a prompt. Moreover, AI learns and adapts to the prompts that the majority of the users typically use, hence, even when it is not in the prompt the ai implements styles that it learned from other users using the platform. The more people adds stolen art to these platforms, the harder it'll be to trace back its origins. Another thing about stolen art, these ai users dont even credit them properly.. so how would the ai automatically generate the credits or which artists the style is based on. The ai users would just claim that they are the sole 'artist' and that it is their own 'artstyle' Also, ai generated images and their users downplays the efforts and skills that the real artists are putting into their art and try to profit off of it. Saying things like ai can easily replace them when in fact without these artists, they have nowhere to get their prompts or the artstyles from. So yeah, i think AI generated images are bad.
