So, this seems like some buzzword-y, clickbait-y bullshit if i'm gonna be honest. The first story you give, about Robert McDaniel, you talk about the AI making an odd judgement on him about gun violence, you then say he was shot twice after being added to the CPD Heat List. Then you just skip along to your next point (which i _DO_ agree with, completely. period.) But there's some important questions here. Who shot him? Did the police shoot him? Was he just caught up in a wrong-place-wrong-time scenario? Or, was the AI correct, and he got himself involved in a shooting by choice, perhaps defending himself from an assailaint, perhaps defending another from an assailant? More importantly, how is it that you're drawing causation from being added to a Overt Surveillance program and being shot, unless he was shot unjustly by police officers, that's a _massive_ leap in logic and makes no sense what so ever. Also, just to clear things up, are you sure you meant to say "Overt" and not "Covert"? Because "Overt Surveillance" would essentially mean the CPD went out of their way to ensure he was aware of the fact that they were surveilling him, which from what i understand, is absolute lunacy. The entire point of surveillance is to build a "Pattern of Life" on a person, and you can't do that if they're aware they're being watched, therefore causing them to alter their habits, even if only subconsciously.
