As always I enjoy your people centered perspective. I do think that you need to be careful not to be pro death. Your commentary implies that people shouldn't use self driving cars if they are not perfect even if they have a lower accident / death rate versus human drivers. Its typically bad to be pro death. I also think that you take an extreme example of the power of auto or taxi companies. If that is true Netherlands would be like the 60s. I agree that its good to point out that companies only care about profits and that people need to organize to make world better for them. In Europe this appears to happening but not much in the USA. I still don't understand how you allow extremely loud gas motorcycles and scooters that emit way more toxic gasses than cars. I think that Netherlands is a good example of where they have balance between different modes of transportation. Less individual ownership of cars would help the parking problem. It won't help traffic and I like your example of traffic capacity versus type of traffic. Cars always rank last there.
