To add a little more nuance to the conversation, because this is something I've had rattling around in my head for a while: I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with training an AI model to replicate your own work. Like, if it was a clean slate, no other art was being used as generative material, and it was your own personal art for your own personal use, that would still be a weird flex but it wouldn't be affecting other artists. I can even see it being beneficial for independent animators to help clean up their animations in post production. (Kind of like how 3D animators can set up poses for their models, and the animation program can fill in the minor gaps between the frames to make it look smoother? The name for it is escaping me, I'm sorry.) However, as it stands right now, we can't have that conversation in good faith, because art thieves and greedy corporations are actively taking advantage of AI to screw over artists, and to put out some of the most disgustingly bland, uncanny valley garbage I've ever had the displeasure of seeing in my life. All for a quick buck at the expense of losing what makes art human.
