I'm a professional programmer, and in the last year my job has changed completely. There is hardly anything I can't accomplish with a good prompt. I have to correct the AI sometimes, and refactor the code from time to time, but I think it is definitive that the days where you were spending hours typing functions are gone. I feel like one of those engineers before the calculator was invented, who suddenly discovered that their skill at using a slide rule was suddenly obsolete.
