Maybe AI isn’t as much of a threat to (everyday people) as it is to those who use it for power, wealth, and control. Most of us just want to live in a way that helps and benefits society, but some in positions of influence will act out of greed and with little concern for anyone else but themselves. I think its entirely possible that AI might actually prove to be advanced enough to have the ability to identify the individuals who contribute positively to the world and can offer value and worth to this place versus those who exploit it and act as a danger instead. I believe it's likely not so much the regular, uncorrupt folks who need to be quite as concerned for their safety and well-being as the others. Just a thought.
