I wonder if ai art will have a similar path as mp3 music files -- as in the majority of people have lost the ability to hear the difference between the compressed sound in mp3 file and uncompressed sound. It is mainly audiophiles who care and still prefer e.g., to listen to vinyl. I am not defending this, just noting what happened to music and wonder if something similar is going to happen with ai 'art'.
