I think the biggest problem with AI art is that it automates a thing that we love the process of doing. I think part of what makes art interesting is that someone crafted it after years of studying and practicing, they put their mind, emotions and ideas into it, spent hours considering how it looks.
If we compare it to a marathon, the artist would be one of the runners, and the finished piece would be a medal, AI art would be someone handling medals to anyone that wants even if they didn’t participate at all in the marathon.
