Its already been good for almost 2 years. The normies liked to pretend that it wasn't good, they would zoom in 800x to find a finger out of place when 99% of the rest of the image was flawless.
What I want to ask you is why do you care whether or not AI is good at art? I thought all artists wanted to do was create their own art in their own little bubbles, free of any "capitalistic expectations". Wouldn't you argue that machines replacing them in the professional industries means that you get more time to "make your own art for self-enjoyment and expression"?
