As a disabled artist myself, I find the argument of "Generative ai is good for Disabled Artists" really is just us being used as some crutch to to prop up their sins against art (I feel very strongly about this whole situation). Like, sure, yea, it'd be easier for me to punch in a random set of keywords into some image-generator, but that's not *my* art, nor should it ever be claimed as such. It almost feels like a backhanded-compliment of some odd form (or possibly just veiled ableism), in that they're acknowledging disabled artists, but also saying that we would struggle too much with actual art-processes, meaning generative ai is supposed to be better for us, without every actually consulting someone who has personal-stake in this kind of matter. It's just kinda saddening to see people use us as some kind of explanatory-scapegoat for the existence of this "technology". I will never support ai, and I will never say that it is actually art. Thank you for all the work you do to poison the machines & support true artists.
