AI will also be deflationary to the labor market. People will be a plentiful commodity, but to compete, people will have to the job for less than what it costs for AI/automation can do it. Labor pay will continue to decrease as AI and computer technology improves exponentially. Staying in one job as a career will not ensure financial independence. People will have to continue to evolve their skills and careers. As far as the trades, once people loose their jobs to AI, the trades will be flooded with new workers. Deflationary. So, no matter what path you find through this transition, avoid high debt, build wealth, spend below your means, and be careful with long term commitments that can be disrupted by technological advancements rendering your investments flat or fruitless. Start thinking in shorter term goals and contracts. It will be the speed of change that is the biggest challenge.
