I work at a company with a large dev team for a SaaS... Our new CEO was put in place to "transform" our company into an AI first workforce.... The CEO literally said the words "We need to do more with less people"... to the whole company. The business people in the world don't care about your code quality... they care that it works and they can sell it. They don't care if you know how to code they just want something that works and they want it fast. AI will take your job... simply because you will cost more money and take more time than it can to make a working tool or code base. Don't get it wrong - as every new version of AI agents is released, all of us become just a little bit more of a liability. I will say this to any new developer... if you are using AI to write large portions of your code. You aren't developing and you are not learning.
