The attempts at anthropomorphizing AI is what bothers me the most. They treat it like it is some magical being that gets "Inspired" and "Learns". While the reality is that these image models in particular are made in a way not to dissimilar to how a zip file is made. With images dissected and then integrated into a singular file/model as abstract. The underlying theory and intent is literally described as a Compression system where combining a model with the correct context causes it to spit out the input file with at most a few artifacts. That is also why the AI movie still is so close to the original. As the model got told to do exactly what it was meant to do: To reconstruct the image that was compressed into itself. All those attempts at "Generating" are as far as the model is concerned: incorrect context that causes it to spit out corrupt output. It is just that the corrupt outputs look convincingly "new"
