Ok, nice presentation from the doctor. Now, things are not always as they seem. I don't think he has access to the latest research of AI by major players, hence his information might be a bit trimmed. Don't forget these players are also major corporations. These are not a family that want your good. They want your productivity. They will make the tiers and payments to their AI services in a way that general folks will not afford the best AI per month. That's still for the rich. I pretty sure there are some versions not released that are way more competent than what is on the market today. Jobs will shift and more ppl will remain out of them. But the dystopian induced atmosphere is not coming like he is saying. Those are over exaggeration. Robots don't spawn out of the ground like tomatoes 😂 they need research, testing, maintaining. Have you seen an AI maintain a code? It's a joke. Also, materials. Those are not laying around. So, who's this interview for then? Is it to raise some anxiety that AI is bad and we will reach armageddon so stop the AI...because some folks are getting powerful. I let you in on a secret: if they will not get rich someone else will. That is what our society values and gives credit to. So, no matter if it's Sam Altman or not... They're like politicians. Anyone you will put on top, they are not and will never reach the top as a clean guy. And if you take a clean guy of the street he has no means to run things accordingly. Again, I liked the technically explained aspects and some perspectives. I think this doomsday presentation has to end and actually I think we need to rethink the democratic dogma. It's been a while since big corporations are controlling the world. Not politicians. Yes, the doctor obviously has knowledge above most of the ppl that work in AI, but he is loosing focus on other aspects. (Materials, costs, implementation etc) The doomsday scenario is getting old. Stop the modern slavery should be the talk.
