Ok number one. AI generated literature, as bad and soul-less it still is - is created with millions of human created works. Ai is not human the work it using to churn out jumbled human literature, fictional stories and non fiction information are through human work. So it (the ai program used) should only be looked at by the copyright office as unregisterable on its own. The ONLY real creativity that is palatable for a fictional novel say, is through a lot of work from the human creator perhaps using AI as for the standard kind of story outlines different tropes use, or using AI it to check grammar and suggestions from the AI program of editing tips. That is done all the time when an author has a publishing deal who have editors on staff or author hires their own editor, to check character arcs, readability and pace - none of those editors get copyright. 99% of quality AI programs are hired too/paid for by subscriptions to aid the author. Editors can also add sentences and change paragraphs without gaining copyright.
