an interesting topic. And worries about governments are futile. I mean, it is just another tool governments can use. Governments would be almighty even without this. For starters, they have well armed, professional killers. They have old(er) fashioned serveillance methods. They probably have much better deep fake technology than we've ever seen. They can use that to ruin any life. etc etc. Compared to ANY government, I am already an insignificant piece of nothing. Their new methods won't make me a smaller piece of nothing.
with that said, yes: trading with China is a bad idea in general. Trading with their serveillance companies is an extremely bad idea.
