And it is usually wrong. We made this stuff thirty years ago. I hacked for the military. News flash: AI doesn't exist. Basically what we're working with is a supped up transistor radio. We're still using 20th century tech. We are mythologizing stuff. About this. When you use "statistics" in algorithms you are going to mess things up. My first wife was a statistician and economist. She laughed at statistics. They are almost consistently wrong. Either people intentionally skew data, accidentally record mistakes or being lazy just use data that hasn't been vetted. She amazed me showing how to vet data and almost always the data was wrong in some way. We don't want to vet things today. We just take everything at face value. Many things we are told are flat out wrong.
