Here is the reality why AI doomsayers are screaming at the top of their lungs. The way society is set up is that you have the have's and the have not's. 10% owns and controls the other 90%. AI wipes out the owners, the 10% that controls the rest. And these owners are not kind to the rest, they don't love and protect the rest of us. AI doesn't care if your poor, live in the ghetto, come from a family line of royalty. It will treat everyone the same, regardless of your race, income and education. AI is the great equalizer of human society. The "have not's" would rather trade out the corrupt "have's" for something ambivalent such as AI. This scares the hell out of all those who sit on the top of the pyramid and all humans will finally be treated equally.
