current ai not even sentience the first part is basicly setting up the ai for roleplay give it character and information. a lot of people fear now come to thinking A.I. is same like from sci - fi movie.
it's just another tool, it cannot do anything without your instruction. like nuclear you can use is as cheap energy or weapon. a knife to make food or mutilate someone. if we decide not do anything when it have risk, than the only way is being stagnant, than die slowly.
