Hello! I am a disabled artist. I think the whole fact that people are defending ai and saying that its more "accessible" is a bit strange. When an artist makes a piece, you know they worked to create that. But when someone uses Ai to make something, it is made up by a program. The disabled person didn't "make" that art if they used Ai. So its not making art more accessible to disabled people. If anything, its taking away their ability by making it even scarier to create a living out of it. If Ai art was around when I started pursuing art, I definitely would have given up. In fact, its really discouraging. It gets so bad that I feel like because I'm disabled my art is worth less, and It's easier for people to just generate art instead of paying for a commission or paying me to work at a company. So no, Ai art is not making things "accessable". Its taking away opportunities for actual people who have worked so hard to overcome their disabilities.
