I'm a bit confused about where this idea that DeviantArt already used all of their user's work to train DreamUp has come from? From everything I have read/watched people say this is the case but I haven't actually seen any evidence Deviantart said this. I've only seen the revised webpage after the backlash which says:
"DeviantArt did not, does not, and will not use deviations submitted to DeviantArt to add to third-party AI models or training sets, or on DreamUp itself."
That seems to imply that they didn't actually use everyone's work yet. Did they previously say otherwise? Not trying to defend deviantart in this shitshow, just curious if they actually admitted to doing that?
