The only argument i can see against allowing deep fake porn is the same argument you would use against porn in general. If its exploitative to those who are in it, so is regular porn. If its unfair to those who don't participate in it to be associated with it, that applies to anything. Lets say i built a brand, and part of my brand is not juggling, I've never juggled and i would never. Then someone makes a deep fake of me juggling. Is it then my right to feel violated because my principles of never juggling were broken by someone else on the internet? No, because that would be obviously ridiculous. Because i didn't make, i didn't star in it, and i have nothing to do with it. But now all of a sudden its porn and not juggling, suddenly there's the argument that that's disgusting and unfair. If it can happen to anyone, it is fair. Its just that celebrities and politicians are the most likely victim of deep fakes. It would be in their natural interest to argue against them. All that deep fakes are going to lead us to is a place where you cant trust video evidence or pictures. Which is going to happen regardless due to the inevitable march of progress.
