"AI can only know what already exists on the internet. [...] So, you can stay ahead of AI by continually innovating in ways AI doesn't have access to." Okay, but that makes two horrible assumptions. 1) That the people paying for your labor and creativity want truly novel things and won't just be satisfied with a rehash of what already exists. 2) That AI can't immediately consume, learn, and integrate into its model your new thing before you can make a living with it.
Also, philosophers have been arguing for millennia that there is nothing new under the sun. That all stories are just permutations of a few handfuls of templates of stories.
