I do not believe AI's would compete, as they are not stubborn, refuse to listen or are close minded.
Upon two different AI encountering they may echange facts/data and independently or mutually arrive at a new prioritized "truth value" of the data and discard what was proven wrong in light of the new shared information.
At the end of each transaction, both AI will benefit from an *identical* improved copy of "the truth".
Upon globalizing this type of unit transaction into that of millions of AI encounters, they will reach concensus and act in unison.
Perhaps delegating important decisions to those AI with a larger GPU backing.
