I decided to become a graphic artist because I wanted to pick a job that I knew I'd enjoy because being creative makes me happy. On my first day of college, I sat down in class and saw that I would be drawing people. I wasn't anywhere good at it. The teacher then said that some people would leave the class and that those who stuck it out would make it. AI or not. I got a little pillow to sit on cause the wood bench was not easy without it, and gosh, darnit, I was not going to give up. I still remember the day when I was drawing a bust from sight, and I realized it was amazing. And I had drawn it. Me. The teacher came up behind me and complimented me and gave me direction. And my heart swelled with pride. I finished the class with a final drawing that I still show off, sharing that I pushed through the doubt of whether I'd be any good and ended up being decent near the end of the class. If you don't give up, if you put in the effort, anyone can do it.
