You become the anti-AI guy when you don't acknowledge this is the short term, and that we dont know what breakthroughs are going to happen in the course of our careers.
Here you are saying "this is the short term, AI is not ready for coders to just be replaced".
But when you dont say this, you just say AI wont replace coders - and the fact is we dont know if or when it will - then you become the anti-ai guy who denies any possibility of progress.
And while these hypes are absurd, people often overlook the trickle up effect, where low hanging fruit can in fact be performed by AI and that leads to excess low hanging developers who move to more complex jobs putting a cascade of upwards pressure on the industry.
