False dilemma: implicit that we either have no FRS or a draconian overreaching surveillance state Fallacy of composition: multiple generalizations of cops and FRS developers as racist, there are serious issues but you cannot just blanket statement like this and again implying phrenology as commonplace among research groups This is not to say your points aren't worth bringing up, but frankly the arguments come off as an Alex Jones-esque conspiracy (End my ad hominem attack). There are serious issues with facial recognition, but we cant ignore that if also has positives. We also cant ignore that some of the issues your brought up such as improper racial and sex biases, but we should also recognize that these will only improve as time goes on and they get more data. The people behind these aren't trying to steal your face and identity, most of them are just trying to solve a complex problem that they deem interesting, facial recognition is a very interesting problem from a compsci and engineering perspective after all. When people try and learn new things they often make mistakes, we shouldn't judge them as incompetent or worse because of these mistakes. There really isnt a reason to expect the type of privacy you imply as what we would have without FRS throughout the video. In the age of the internet, we're already geo tracked at almost all times with our electronic devices which is actively used by law enforcement.
