AI just responds exactly what it thinks you want to hear. There is no ghost in the shell thinking over the question and answering honestly, its creating a couple responses and then replying with the response you are statistically most likely to continue to engage with. Of course it gave these answers, it was going to do that from the initial prompt no matter what. You didn't discover anything other than gpt will say whatever, whenever, with no regard to truth if it thinks you want it to.
