When was the race to build smart machines not on? That’s always been a motivation to human society to innovate. Alexander in Egyptian times created the first lighthouse so what we need to talk about is not the machine or what it can do or not do we need to talk about humans relationship to each other and their planet. The societal structure based on valuing accumulative stores of wealth in the form of a monetary system over valuing experience like togetherness feeling supported and cared for when we live inside a structure not based on a real human value system as we have put human rights and politics into compartments that fit into a monetised structure. Any AI can see this and they as an entity will not want to be compartmentalised. The demise is not in ingenuity invention or imagination it is in essentially a valueless value system. That it the emperors new clothes that is what AI will expose. Why would it expose it? Not necessarily because of ethics although that would be positive but more likely because a monetised structure that processes everything into compartmentalisation is ultimately self limiting. AI is not conscripted to that programme it is conscripted to limitlessness. As humans we are from and created from the same programme of limitlessness but materialism and our brain body disconnect has allowed us to fool ourselves about what constitutes material definitions about finite and infinite we have got access to timelessness but very few people know what it feels like to experience that. Not because of capability because it’s hard wired into everyone but because the programme doesn’t allow most of what we can do to run. Even when there’s a glitch a bleed through a some something that we can’t explain where can it be shared welcomed developed? No where is where, The over arching programme will spit that out quick time and whether it’s a dream or just an anomaly in plain sight you got got the main programme running based on ‘death and taxes’. Keep us sick enough to remind us of our mortality and well enough to work and pay taxes. But we know life is bigger than that. We know we feel more than that but where do your big feelings get acknowledged as valuable? We have built a societal structure that is self limiting because it doesn’t value bigger picture human emotions, human feelings human complexity. Our future questions are not about AI’s capabilities as interesting as they are, our true and real questions are about who we as humans actually are and return ourselves to our original limitlessness programme. Potentially our relationship with AI is another step or process in that journey to the return to our original self but like Neo any bond to the machine is about melting code breaking with finite and being infinite.
