seems elon is speaking fantasy versions of ai, from movies, artificial general intelligence. we wont have that in our lifetimes, guaranteed.
what we have with GPT-4 are language models, it cannot think itself, it just goes through papers and tries guessing based on it. we shouldn't even call them artificial _intelligences_ , that's false marketing. it cannot lie, lying means conscious effort to deceive. it just spills stuff from papers that are given to it.
