I disagree with Penrose when he said “intelligence involves conscientiousness” because they are different where consciousness is more difficult to acquire and a wider term than intelligence. So, consciousnesses involves intelligence not the opposite. For me there’s nothing wrong with the term ‘intelligence’ for a machine learning tool but the problem is when someone interprets that as similar to an intelligence for a human being, that’s when controversy and confusion would happen.
