I'm in the book business and it's making huge waves because more and more publisher refuse working with artists and illustrators in favor of AI images (for covers). Sure they look worse and not ideal but for most cookie cutter books it does the job. There's a big uproar in my country's illustrator community but what you gonna do? You pinpoint all of it pretty spot on.
